A New Year and a New beginning... I have created a new blog filled with old and new art. It is time for me to focus on something new. I will be leaving this blog open for inspiration and so I can look back at what I have achieved in the future but I will be adding no further content here.

Diamond card

I'm folding again... I can't help it... I love my bone folder!!  Cheap as chips tool but with a million uses... I even spread glue with mine...lol.  I thought that this card shape would be really difficult but found it easy peasy... so easy in fact that DG folded his own too and enjoyed doing it :D

I used this little girl vintage image from Crafty Individuals  cos I think her and her gorgeous dog would be friends with...

this cute little vintage boy....

and I just know they both like chasing butterflies :D     How do I know... well I just know...lol

Love this CI collage stamp... stamped onto CI paper... lush!!  Love the fabulous ferny thing in the bottom corner.
Have a great day all

Alice box

Alice in Wonderland is so popular right now that I just had to jump on the bandwagon.  The older illustrations are still the best and if you love them as much as I do pop over to Grandma's Graphics... (isn't that a great name :D ) and grab yourself some of her wonderful freebies to use in your artwork.  I decided to use mine on this cute little papier mache box that I've had lying around for ages.  I used Lake Mist Adirondack paint dabber to paint the box first before adding my imiage.......

and added this g o r g e o u s bling lace around the side which I received as a crafty gift from my pal Chriss.... isn't it just yummy.

Hope you are all having a lovely crafty time and have got some sun... it's rained so much here over the last few days that I am beginning to wonder if I am gonna need to buy me some wellies!!  If anyone dares to suggest we are heading for a water shortage I am going to S C R E A M... rofl

Romance card

I love to try new folds but this one was a bit annoying really ...cos I don't do measuring...lol  however once I started I had to complete it.  Won't be making another one any time soon but I think this turned out ok.  The colours of this fabulous Basicgrey paper that I found in my stash made me a tad happier though ... soooooo gorgeous!!

I distressed the chipboard frame from Crafty Individuals with distress ink and added a little heart that I created with a stamp and air dry clay.  More Crafty Individuals stamped images on the inside....

with a lickle bit of lace and a fabric flower just to finish off.

Have a great weekend all :D

Dipping my toe back in.....

didn't realise it was almost three weeks ago that I last blogged.  Things are looking up though I'm still not having many creative moments but I will share with you any that I do have :D
My loverly bloggy friend Nancy shared  Paperwhimsy  with me recently and I got these gorgeous images from their free newsletter and blog.

They make wonderful focal points for my artwork... love them.

Such cute little faces and the one below has the cutest rose tint to her cheeks :D

Hope to be back soon...thanks for popping by :D

The antidote to feeling CR*P is to CRAFT?

Well sometimes it works :-)   Sometimes it doesn't :-(
 But I Try :-D

Things haven't been too good for me lately so blogging and crafting have been more of a chore than a pleasure but I am trying to get back into the swing of things.

I managed to do these Torso's for the challenges over at SCD blog (did them all at once on a good day) but didn't manage to blog them in time.  Thought I'd share them anyway though so hope you like :-)  They aren't in the right order but don't think that matters much.

This one is 'Memories'

This one 'Of the Sea'

Next is 'Black and Red'

and finally 'Bling'

All created with images and backgrounds from Lisa's altered art.

Thanks so much for dropping by and I hope to be back soon.

Hugs Chris xx
