Well I did warn you...Easel card OCD in full flow... so here's another :D

More pretty papers, chipboard and stamps from Crafty Individuals... went a bit addition crazy with this one... sometimes less is more... but not in my vocabulary.  I just keep adding and adding :D Guess it just depends on my mood at the time.

You were wondering where my Pearls for the Sunday Stamper challenge were weren't ya... well they are here...lol  Only half pearls... hope they count!!

and this little cutie from Lisa's altered art.

Heh heh.... wonder where Mummy got the basin for that haircut...rofl

Believe easel card

Some of my all time favourite papers are Basicgrey... I love the grungy look that they give whilst remaining pretty at the same time.

I've been using alcohol inks again to cover this chipboard frame and had to indulge my ongoing passion for flowers.

I have loads of these self adhesive coloured half pearls cos they are so lush and easy to use.  It's great being able to just pop them onto what I create without worrying about glue seeping out from under them.

I am enjoying making these easel cards but as usual am guilty of overindulging when I find pleasure in making something and keep making more....lol

Do you think I'm in danger of  suffering from Easel card OCD!!
Have a great day

Life is short... do what you love....

is the sentiment on this easy peasy bookmark I made.  The words and paper are from Crafty Individuals and for once I thought I would make something for myself which is pretty and practical.

I used a rectangle of paper adhered to card, roughed the edges with an emery board and snipped into the bottom with my scissors to create some fringing.  I cut out the butterfly from another part of the paper...curling the edges over my scissors before adding it to complete the bookmark.

A hole punched through the top and some co-ordinating ribbon and quick as you like... no need to turn over those page edges again.  That's soooo naughty isn't it and a complete no no with our craft books...lol

Three for the price of one.....

challenges that is :D  I used my pretty lady from below to make a card that fits with The Daring Cardmakers Challenge which is ' Ice and Snow' and  The Shabby Tea Room Challenge  using 'stripes'. I'm also joining in with Gingersnap Creations Challenge for the first time with their 'Shades of Blue'.

I made a round card for a change which reminds me of  a snowball...lol  but also used cold colours to fit in with DCM theme.   There are lots of hand drawn stripes for TSTR theme... I am so into sketching and colouring right now so this was fun.

I drew lots of funny shaped flowers and leaves and coloured those and the striped border with my blue Sakura Glaze pen.  I love these pens because they give a gorgeous shiny embossed look.

Unfortunately this wasn't really picked up well with my photos but I can assure you that the blue bits really shine and glisten.  I used 3d pads under my flowers and the main image cos I love things to be 3d.  It's a long time since I spent this long on a card but it was really therapeutic.  Think I need to be sketching and colouring a lot more :D

Thanks for looking and don't forget you can get your own glam girlie free from the post below.

Just because I can....

I decided to have a little giveaway on my blog today.  I have been sketching over the last couple of days... I'm always skipping between projects.  If my hands and time could keep up with my mind I would be a very happy girlie... cos ideas keep sprouting but I don't have enough hours to do all I would like to :D
Anyways I waffle.... so if you would like this free digi stamp feel free to grab it.  (click on pic to enlarge and then right click and save as.)
I decided to colour some of the images for you but hey I'm not the best colourer (sp?) in the world although I'm working on it...lol.
Will come back tomorrow to show you how I used it.
happy crafting.

Do you know what this is.....

shall I tell ya..... well it's my good girl handbag charm.  It started off with a matchbox which I decorated with a stamp and paper from Crafty Individuals.  I added a bit of bling with a fastener and beads and some lace edging and pearl flowers.

Okay so you wanna know why it's called my good girl charm right :-P.... well that's because I'm gonna fill it with sugar free sweeties and then when I go shopping and I'm tempted to buy chocolate and ice cream and biscuits and other fat laden monstrosities... I am gonna pop a sweetie in my mouth and hopefully deter myself from buying them :D

Then I'll be a good girl right....rofl

Well the thought is there... hope it works in practice!!

Have a great day

Flower bracelet

I keep making paper flowers without knowing what I'm going to do with them... I think I'm obsessed... I see a piece of paper and before I know what I'm doing I'm cutting petal shapes... oh well I just have to go with the flow.   I decided to make a grungeboard bracelet... I covered it with some pretty CI paper and my flower just leapt on top like it belonged there...lol

I used paper stamped with a diamond background stamp also from CI for my petals and once I glued them together and curled them a wee bit I just knew I wanted a bead in the centre.  The bracelet is fastened with some chain and a clasp.

A bit OTT but fun to make.

p.s. Can you just SEEEE how hairy my arms are.....ooooer wrinkly too...lol

All that glitters....

could be gold... well my latest shoe is :D  The gold was a happy accident... I had some smudges where my glue had seeped out around the sole so I was going to edge it in gold... but then I slipped!! So there was nothing else but to colour in the whole lot... with my gold pen and it took bloomin' ages and used up most of the ink in the pen.

It did give my shoe a lovely shine though and it turned into something completely different to how I had first meant it to be.

I gave it a little heel and added some lace edging...

both to the heel and the front of the shoe.

Now do you see this... I added some 'Bling'  it is sooooo long since I blinged something up but I found these little gold metal flowers in me bead boxes and they were just soooo right.

Hope you like

Happy Fathers Day Dad

Dad won't see this on here cos he's a technophobe...lol but he will receive it in real life which has to be better eh.  Well it just had to feature clocks didn't it... told ya of his addiction so this should go down well :D
I love these clock faces from Crafty Individuals...

I used cut 'n' dry (grey side) to make a reverse image of CI Poppyfield stamp

and used Distress ink to stamp and colour with.  The clock faces were clear embossed but it doesn't show up too well in the photo.
I finished off with a couple more clocks with jewellery chain in between for extra touchy feeliness.

Fathers Day Frame

I always struggle with gifts for my Dad as he gives no clues and what do you get the man who has everything... so this year I decided to create a frame for him on the theme of his addiction.  That addiction is CLOCKS.  I don't think I have ever known a man who has to buy a clock everywhere he goes.  If it's a bargain...then he's even happier... and if it sings, dances, displays the weather and has a radio too... he's like a boy with a new toy...lol

So this clock may not work... but it was made with love :D

He doesn't resemble the man in my frame.... but Father 'Time' is a fitting title for him...lol

I used number and letter stamps from Fiskars for the title and numerals.  The man and clock stamps are Crafty Individuals.

I love this little compartment frame...also from Crafty Individuals... my stamped images fit so well in there and the chipboard clock hands that I found in my stash came in really handy...pardon the pun.

The frame was a white one from Ikea... which I sanded slightly before adding distress inks and distress crackle.

Hope he likes it :D

Paris fashion atc's

It seems like ages since I created an atc but I love these Paris themed backgrounds and dress shapes from Lisa's altered art.  I had a bit of a play with them because although they are beautiful in their original state I just can't leave well alone... I have to change things..lol
So the dress above was cut and pasted from the atc image below before adding faux stitching around the outer edge.
I used a lace stamp from The Artistic Stamper on a piece of blue paper and placed it behind the missing dress area on this atc and I just love the effect.

Lisa's Altered Art has some fabulous new images and many sheets are just $1 so pop over and grab yourself a few... beat the credit crunch and stock up... they are really great to craft with... so many ways to use them.

To see what kind of person I REALLY am  scroll down n read the post below.  The truth, the whole truth 'n' nothing but the truth.....OR IS IT ;-))

Creative Writer Blog Award

I received this fab award from Carole a little while ago.... Thanks Carole :D

The rules of the award are :-
  1. Thank and link to the person who gave you the award.
  2. Display the award on your blog.
  3. Tell 6 outrageous lies and 1 outrageous truth about yourself or switch it around and tell 6 outrageous truths and 1 outrageous lie about yourself.
  4. Nominate 7 others and leave them a message to let them know.
Okay here are mine.... can you guess which way round they are :D
  1. I once cut someones hair and sliced their right ear with the scissors... I cleaned it up and then proceeded to cut the other ear when I did the other side.
  2. When walking through the park to pick up my Daughter from school.... the elastic broke in my knickers so I shimmied out of them and put them in my pocket.
  3. I hate having short hair cos it means I have to wash my neck.
  4. I once came second in a karaoke competition where the winner went on to go on Stars in your Eyes.  He sang 'Monday,Monday' by the Mamas and Papas.
  5. I won an art competition at school with a poster of a crooked house with all the lights on in the windows and an owl looking in from a tree for a save energy campaign.
  6. I'm very tall but only because my Brothers and Sisters used to pull my head and feet in different directions so that I wouldn't be as small as my Mum.
  7. My third toe is longer than my big toe which means my feet are really funny shaped and they're UK size 6 long and size 8 wide.  Kids think that they are amazingly funny (specially the big toe) and always want me to show them to their friends.... (brats)
The nominations for this Creative Writer award go to..... pause for effect.... lights... camera.... action....

Summer Sandal

I made a Sandal for this weeks Shabby Tearoom Challenge which is Summer fun.  Well we all need some pretty sandals for that walk on the beach.  Someday soon we are going to have a heatwave...I can feel it in my bones...lol.  Well that's if it ever stops raining here that it!!

I used one tiny flower stamp from Crafty Individuals.... stamped lots of times and watercoloured with Distress inks to decorate the sandal.  Actually I think I would quite like to wear this if it was real :D

Mother and Daughter book

I had lots of fun making this little book... it's about 3" x3" and has lots of places to add tags, sentiments and pictures inside.  I used some double sided rose pink and cream scrap booking paper that my pal Chriss kindly shared with me.

I punched a lace border for underneath this gorgeous image from Crafty Individuals and also made a flower from punched hearts.

I wanted the book to look aged so grunged  the spine, lace border and flower edges with black stazon.
I love creating something pretty and this ticks all the boxes for me as I am soooo into 3d and paperfolding.... like you didn't know...lol
I am entering this book into two challenges:-

Sir Stampalot challenge.... which is 'Punches'
Anything goes challenge .... which is 'Pearls and lace, pink and cream'

Sunday Stamper challenge - Numbers

Well as Father's day is almost upon us in the UK and because I'm still in my masculine phase I decided to make a tie :D  Don't seem to see many men wearing them these days but my Dad always wears one if he's going somewhere ' important'... which could just be the pub... or shopping with Mam but he does suit his shirt and tie wherever he is going.

I'm entering my tie for Hels Sunday stamper challenge which this week is 'Numbers.   Probably didn't mean numbers in the way I've used them but hey ho... I've done numbers all the same :D

I used stamps from Crafty Individuals... did a bit of masking and also some colouring with Distress Inks.
Thanks for looking.

Self standing-atc

Still on the 'Guy' themes for now... ooooer.  This is an atc made with an image from Lisa. Altered art.... mounted onto a hand painted background before adding to a papercovered atc.

I wanted to stand it up cos I really like this one so I made a little tab at the back so that I could display it without using something seperate.

I think I will add these to a few more atc's... especially my favourite ones as they are much to nice to store away in folders :D

Have a great day
