MY NEW ART BLOG HERE I would love your company.

A New Year and a New beginning... I have created a new blog filled with old and new art. It is time for me to focus on something new. I will be leaving this blog open for inspiration and so I can look back at what I have achieved in the future but I will be adding no further content here.

The Sketchbook challenge-February-Opposites

The pencils just WON'T stay in their box...lol  So it's just as well that it's time for February's Sketchbook Challenge.  I had lots of ideas for this theme but I couldn't resist doing another face.  I wanted to experiment with coloured pencil and graphite in a combined sketch.  It was quite difficult because my eye kept being drawn to the coloured part when I was trying to draw the grayscale bits.  I really enjoyed the challenge though and was quite happy with the result.

When I had finished I couldn't resist a little play in photoshop so that I could change the placement of each side and I think I like this even better :D

Have a great weekend all

ICSketches# challenge

Sometimes I LOVE blogger... oh okay love may be too strong a word heh heh but I do love the fact that you can pre time your posts if you are gonna be busy or out or just indulging in a bit of me time :D I don't use it much but as I'm gonna be spending some time with my crafty friend Chriss today trying to pull myself out of the doldrums it's perfect cos I can post before I leave but not too soon after my last offering :D
This is my first time for joining in with Dawn's sketch challenge here and I had to post my cards today cos there will be a new challenge tomorrow... always last minute me...lol
I got to play with some of Chriss's cuttlebug embossing folders last week and I luvs them so I think they may be added to my shopping list pretty soon. I inked the card with my favourite red/brown ink pad and it's cool how the dots stand out. The stamps are from Queen's dresser drawers. I made some paper buttons so I could tie some thread through for a bit more interest.
I also made this quickie card featuring Ellie from here papers from Cosmo Cricket and a bit of additional bling :D I love turning sketches round you get a whole different creation from the same sketch.

Okay that's it from me today
Catch ya later
hugs
Chris xx
