MY NEW ART BLOG HERE I would love your company.

A New Year and a New beginning... I have created a new blog filled with old and new art. It is time for me to focus on something new. I will be leaving this blog open for inspiration and so I can look back at what I have achieved in the future but I will be adding no further content here.

Willow Sketchie and tagged

Well it's been a busy busy week for me hence not much blogging but the good news is my mojo seems to have returned big style...whoooo hoooo even did me some scrap booking which I will share with you later :D I managed to get my card done for Sharon's Willow Sketchie just before another one comes out tomorrow. I turned the sketch around cos it suited me better this way and for a change did a card suitable for a man... helped along by my new Basic grey goodies which I am loving. The instructions were to do a simple card but with a hidden message....
so I'm all ready for someone passing their driving test... cos we all know that men always pass first time round don't we ladies...rofl
I was tagged by Sharon too... to look in the 6th folder on my computer where I keep my pics and share the 6th photo in it with my blogging buddies and then tag some of you to do the same. Thankfully my photo wasn't one of me in a bikini (wipes the wet brow sheeeesh) but it is one of my sis in her swimming cozzy... thing is you can't see it cos I chopped her body off...rofl Just as well cos she'd kill me for exposing her online ;-)
It was taken on holiday at Primrose Valley in their fab swimming pool and as I don't do water!! I was quite happy to sit in the cafe watching and taking photos... loved this contraption that filled up and when someone turned a wheel the unsuspecting person underneath got the lot from all directions.
Ok so I tag :-
Lorraine
Kristen

Chriss
Anesha
Debbie
Shashi

Now then before I go I wanted to share with you that June has got some fab freebies up for grabs this week over at Cen's loft.... lots of digi papers called colour basics. Brilliant for those of you who do digi and just as fab for those who do hands on crafting.
They are gorgeous printed out in 8"x8" size to use in your papercrafting and cardmaking... I'm off to grab mine cos there are lots more to come.... last girl there is a rotten egg :D Okay that's it for me right now but I will be back tomorrow with some looooong overdue awards.... I really do appreciate each and every one I receive but I am notoriously bad at passing them on (blushingly hangs head in shame)
So 'till tomorrow
Have fun

Altered recycled packaging

Wow...where does time go? I've had DG here for the weekend plaguing me to play games with him even though I'm "old...wrinkly... and have got old lady hair" rofl. Good job I don't take it to heart... I still feel in my 20s on the inside, shame the outside forgets and moves on a bit quicker!!
I've spent time colouring in... doing sums (heaven forbid) and playing cars, in between eating totally unhealthy meals and dipping chocolate in a hot drink, just to see who could leave it in the cup the longest, then getting it into our mouths before the melted chocolate was destined to fall into the cup. Oh the joys of being a kid again... even for a few hours...lol
A little while ago an addition to the household decor of a couple of lamp tables produced a couple of these...almost boxes... in amongst the packaging. Now being the hoarder that I am and adding to that, having an electric light moment I just had to keep them until I could find a way to make them pretty. I've been playing for a while now so I can show you what I came up with. Lots of pics cos there is heaps of detail and the photo of the whole thing doesn't do it justice... so I hope you won't nod off and fall asleep on me... well at least until you get to the end of the post. I have decorated both sides of the box in totally different ways but will show you the reverse side another day, otherwise you will be bringing your tents and camping out at my blog for days...rofl
So here goes, this is the top of my box decorated using PM ready made adhesive chipboard embellishments which nicely for me had the compulsory bling already attached...whoo hoooo
More of the same chipboard in the form of a clock face and gorgeous PM Nostalgia warm paper as the background. PM vellum allowed me to create handmade flowers, while the large bling was more from my £shop find.

I decided that I wanted my box to look magical and I wanted to be able to see something new each time I looked at it so I made a paper toadstool but it has a secret....Are you still awake!! lol The secret is the little girl behind the door, the doorknob being a seed bead which will give you an indication of how big she is :) She's waiting to go for a walk in the grass.
The baby Queen of the fairies (from Lisa's altered art) is sitting out in the sun waiting to greet the butterflies as they return from spreading their magic around fairyland.

One sweet butterly (from PM sweet garden papers) returns among the flowers bedecked with jewels (habico bling and silver pen) with a message to all the good fairies (PM love chipboard shapes) because they help her spread happiness all around ;-)
Hope I managed to spread a little myself too... and here is the front view of the finished fairy box... so you can see what it was all about.
Thanks for taking the time to get to the end... I will wait a few days before I show you the other side...lol I DO want you to come back again ;-)
Have a great day.

Altered coasters and crafty day

These altered coasters using papers and images from Crafty Individuals are part of some of the things I made recently while sharing some fun crafty time with my friend Chriss , I love these papers and images, they are so pretty and delicate.I didn't photograph the second one very well...oooops but you get the idea :)
Now what I like about sharing crafty time with Chriss is that we just get totally stuck in and like myself she is really laid back and doesn't give a monkeys about the mess we make and boy do we make a mess...lol
Chriss hasn't seen these pics yet... but she did give me permission to take them.... ooooer looking at them now it's a wonder we could find ourselves in among this lot...ROFL
This was the beginning of my part of the mess AND my workspace which grew threefold as time went on, I just can't seem to work at a table or standing up so the floorspace really gets a hammering, I put things down and can't find them and spend most of my time looking for things I'm sat on...lol
We obviously needed sustenance to keep our strength up for our crafting and apart from the usual pile of chocolate and snacky things that we fill our ample tummy's with... Chriss does make a real effort in making me feel welcome and usually cooks something for us, so we were sharing a cheese and tomato pizza and a pepperoni one............except........we were so involved in what we were doing that unfortunately we forgot about the first one and eerrrrrm it got slightly cindered..rofl We still ate it though... can't be wasting good food can we!!
This is a sneaky peek at what Chriss was making... it's totally gorgeous...I wanted to hide it in my bag and do a runner but I think she would have caught me before I got to the car. Audrey Hepburn is one of my favourite actresses and I was really jealous of Chriss's DG who is going to get to display this loveliness in her room.(ok I know that's not nice but I can't help it...lol)
If you wanna see the rest of this stunning creation go pop by Chriss' blog ... it really is divine.
Okay sorry for the loooooonnnnng post but well sometimes when I get going I just can't stop :) Those of you who have spoken to me on the phone will understand.... eh girls...lol Cos my mouth runs just as fast as my mind :)
Have a great day everyone...
hugs
