A New Year and a New beginning... I have created a new blog filled with old and new art. It is time for me to focus on something new. I will be leaving this blog open for inspiration and so I can look back at what I have achieved in the future but I will be adding no further content here.

Alice Alice....

wind your neck in Alice...rofl   As soon as I saw this image of Alice in Wonderland I burst out laughing cos all I could think about was the saying "Wind your neck in" I don't know whether it's just a Northern saying but I've heard it so often as a warning to kids to stop being cheeky or boisterous or both :D
I think this image is so much fun and I certainly had a great time playing with it.  Different colours just made an amazing difference... the same girl but two different looks... don't know which I like the best.
The image and lots more from Alice in Wonderland and other childrens' stories can be found free at Grandma's Graphics (isn't that a fab name for a website) ready for you to print out and use in your crafting.  You won't be disappointed so do go have a look.

Award time and digi scrapping

After seeing June's new freebie paper packs (see post below) my fingers got the buzz and for the first time in ages I did some digi scrapping. Love, love, love these colours together and there will be more up for grabs as the week goes on so I may even find that my mojo has come back completely cos I'm feeling very creative right now. The photo is of my niece on a day at the park when it went from a lovely day to freezing cold in just a few hours. I captured her while she was taking a breather and obviously a moment deep in thought... probably wondering when home time would come lol

Okay now onto some long awaited awards.... I really must get more organized and start remembering to pass these on... I appreciate each and every one but am just sooooo absent minded...please forgive me for taking so long with them.

Once again I can't remember the rules so I am just going to pass each award on to a couple of people.

This lovely lady is from the very talented Pearl
and I would like to pass this elegant lady on to Linda and Marlou
Next this fab award from the gorgeous Kristen
I shall share this one with Terrie and June

I also received this special friendship award from my buddies Sharon and June
I'd like to pass this on the Kath and Dawn
and this lovely lady from the lovely Karen
I'd like to pass this on to Debbie and Emma

Last but not least are these two fabby awards from the wonderful Dawn
and I want to award these two to some of my new followers... go say hi to them :D Chris and Craftgirl
Okay that's it from me today... or should I say that's it from me tomorrow... cos blogger has been naughty and instead of getting this posted when I should have it's a day late... Mr blogger has a lot to answer for!!
Happy crafting all

Altered coasters and crafty day

These altered coasters using papers and images from Crafty Individuals are part of some of the things I made recently while sharing some fun crafty time with my friend Chriss , I love these papers and images, they are so pretty and delicate.I didn't photograph the second one very well...oooops but you get the idea :)
Now what I like about sharing crafty time with Chriss is that we just get totally stuck in and like myself she is really laid back and doesn't give a monkeys about the mess we make and boy do we make a mess...lol
Chriss hasn't seen these pics yet... but she did give me permission to take them.... ooooer looking at them now it's a wonder we could find ourselves in among this lot...ROFL
This was the beginning of my part of the mess AND my workspace which grew threefold as time went on, I just can't seem to work at a table or standing up so the floorspace really gets a hammering, I put things down and can't find them and spend most of my time looking for things I'm sat on...lol
We obviously needed sustenance to keep our strength up for our crafting and apart from the usual pile of chocolate and snacky things that we fill our ample tummy's with... Chriss does make a real effort in making me feel welcome and usually cooks something for us, so we were sharing a cheese and tomato pizza and a pepperoni one............except........we were so involved in what we were doing that unfortunately we forgot about the first one and eerrrrrm it got slightly cindered..rofl We still ate it though... can't be wasting good food can we!!
This is a sneaky peek at what Chriss was making... it's totally gorgeous...I wanted to hide it in my bag and do a runner but I think she would have caught me before I got to the car. Audrey Hepburn is one of my favourite actresses and I was really jealous of Chriss's DG who is going to get to display this loveliness in her room.(ok I know that's not nice but I can't help it...lol)
If you wanna see the rest of this stunning creation go pop by Chriss' blog ... it really is divine.
Okay sorry for the loooooonnnnng post but well sometimes when I get going I just can't stop :) Those of you who have spoken to me on the phone will understand.... eh girls...lol Cos my mouth runs just as fast as my mind :)
Have a great day everyone...

Altered box frame

It seems at the moment that I have a passion for everything altered.... I am hoarding stuff like there is no tomorrow because my mind is working overtime. I had not realised how satisfying it is to turn something that isn't quite giving you vibes into something that you love and don't want to part with :) I have altered items in the past but my style of crafting seems to be constantly going through changes and at the moment I am really enjoying the pieces that I am doing even though some of them take me an age to complete.

The papers I used for the picture in my frame are from Crafty Individuals and they are just so ethereal that they were just screaming out for fairies.

This little lady is from Lisa's altered art and isn't she just adorable :)

The sentiments are from the same place and so true don't you think... just what we all need to do for a happy fulfilling life :)

Oooooer a little bit deep there girls eh :) but you know what I mean don't ya...lol

Hope you like my offering today as much as I enjoyed making it.

Be back again soon
