A New Year and a New beginning... I have created a new blog filled with old and new art. It is time for me to focus on something new. I will be leaving this blog open for inspiration and so I can look back at what I have achieved in the future but I will be adding no further content here.

Happy Fathers Day Dad

Dad won't see this on here cos he's a technophobe...lol but he will receive it in real life which has to be better eh.  Well it just had to feature clocks didn't it... told ya of his addiction so this should go down well :D
I love these clock faces from Crafty Individuals...

I used cut 'n' dry (grey side) to make a reverse image of CI Poppyfield stamp

and used Distress ink to stamp and colour with.  The clock faces were clear embossed but it doesn't show up too well in the photo.
I finished off with a couple more clocks with jewellery chain in between for extra touchy feeliness.

Fathers Day Frame

I always struggle with gifts for my Dad as he gives no clues and what do you get the man who has everything... so this year I decided to create a frame for him on the theme of his addiction.  That addiction is CLOCKS.  I don't think I have ever known a man who has to buy a clock everywhere he goes.  If it's a bargain...then he's even happier... and if it sings, dances, displays the weather and has a radio too... he's like a boy with a new toy...lol

So this clock may not work... but it was made with love :D

He doesn't resemble the man in my frame.... but Father 'Time' is a fitting title for him...lol

I used number and letter stamps from Fiskars for the title and numerals.  The man and clock stamps are Crafty Individuals.

I love this little compartment frame...also from Crafty Individuals... my stamped images fit so well in there and the chipboard clock hands that I found in my stash came in really handy...pardon the pun.

The frame was a white one from Ikea... which I sanded slightly before adding distress inks and distress crackle.

Hope he likes it :D
