Digital Vintage ATC

I love the fact that with digital supplies you can create almost anything... hybrid creations or purely digital ones... printing out digital designs opens up lots of avenues for altering things too so it's hardly surprising that I have to play :) Sometimes I just love to mess around on the computer and NOT turn my room into a salvage ground... so this atc was done digitally.

Gothic arch challenge... Turqoise

This is my entry for this weeks Gothic arch challenge which was Turquoise... didn't think it was going to work for me because after spending almost all day with my friend Chriss... with the intentions of doing some full on crafting yesterday... we spent more time chatting and eating chocolate than actually getting anything creative done. Our mojo just didn't seem to be working but in the middle of the night, not being able to sleep I got back up to find my mojo in full swing again.... so not only did I complete my arch... I also started on 5 other projects too...lol I tend to swing from one thing to another without completing any of them and then somehow they all seem to come together at once. Anyone else do that or am I just peculiar (or unique...whichever way you look at it..lol)
For this arch I stamped the background paper with a music stamp from Crafty Individuals and added images from Cen's Loft freebie decades papers. A bit of fun with this one for a change... seriousness isn't in my vocabulary just now. Wonder why it is that some days the slightest thing tickles your fancy and has you gut wrenchingly laughing to the point of hysteria...lol Probably has something to do with going to see all the pics of the girls who went over and Yearbooked themselves ( see the link on my yearbook photos below if you want to do it yourself) I have had soooooooooo much fun and laughter looking at what everyone else looked like in their different guises that if you are up for a bit of fun you just HAVE to do your own!!
Okay that's all from me today... off to spend the night at DD's looking after my gorgeous DG so more fun for me later on with him :)

Altered Atc holder

Not really a great deal of hands on crafting going on for me over the last couple of days but I'm hoping to rectify that tomorrow... so I decided to show you this clearAtc holder that I got from Scrapz a while ago that I just had to alter :)

The gorgeous stamp is from Crafty individuals and it is so right up my street right now because I just seem to be soooo into fairy stuff lately.

I had stamped the image onto thin card before cutting it out and and using my stamping inks to watercolour it. I had to have a touch of glitter too so added it around the outside of the image and dabbed some randomly on the flowers.

Artygirlz challenge #54 Red

A couple of cards for this weeks Artygirlz 'red' challenge... using Cosmo Cricket 'Jacks World' papers and blackboard chipboard shapes.
Loving the gorgeous velvet scalloped ribbon... (yes I used some more ribbon...lol, think my addiction in stroking and looking at it is being beaten slowly but surely.)

How gorgeous is this cute giraffe with his head in the clouds... my heads not usually far out of the clouds either... but that's another story :)

OMG I found this on Kate Hatfields blog and I haven't stopped laughing since I found it. You really have to have a go at Yearbook yourself.... it's a hoot. I had tears of laughter rolling down my face and could hardly breathe when I put my photo in and checked out all of the different years (these two for me turned out the best) I don't do afro or old fashioned glasses but I had the time of my life checking them out.... shows what a sad life I have when something like this has me doubled up...rofl
Anyway this is me in 1996 mode.............
and this is me in 1952......... heh heh!! whaddya think don't I look FANDABYDOZY ;-0

Actually I look a bit like my Mam did with all of those waves, although I'm sure she wouldn't agree as I do take more after my Dad's side of the family.... eeeeeeeh don't laugh too much at me though... get yourself over there and do your own and don't forget to let me know so I can come have a giggle at yours too.

Lovely little Lilly....She's so Tweet...

It seems like a million years ago since I did any Digital stuff but I couldn't resist playing with this gorgeous photo of June's adorable little Grandaughter Lilly.... isn't she just adorable, just love that amazing smile and I believe she's a happy fairy in disguise :)

So I decided to wave my magic wand over her and turn her into a flower fairy who would bring sunshine to anyone's garden...what do you think... isn't she just the sweetest little thing :)

I used a couple of my Photoshop brushes for the flowers and toadstool and borrowed the wings from a photograph I took at Butterfly world a while ago and I think little Lilly wears them all beautifully :)

We couldn't have a photograph without a layout though and as some of the Ct team girls have been busy designing parts of a fab collab kit and June has some fab new freebie stuff too... well what better way to let you see what's up for grabs. Gothic Arch Challenge

The Gothic Arch challenge this week has an open theme so I decided to enter this arch that I have experimented on. The image is from Crafty individuals and I added Papermania fabric flowers. I have been itching to do some writing on something and though it's not the neatest writing I've ever done (I will learn to pencil it in first next time to make sure it fits...lol) I really enjoyed playing as usual.
I used tiny seed beeds and Anita's clear gloss for the centre of the flowers...

because although I didn't have any bling on my arch I had to have some sparkle :) I used some ribbon too... big deal for me...lol

Boo.........Halloween memories book

Well after a lovely weekend of fun with DG and facing the fact that I am now considered over the limit (which means over the hill!! to you and me...lol) because I'm more than 40... and finding out that in DG eyes that I am older than his No1 Nanna and Grandad (MY Mam and Dad!!) I think it's time to get some blogging done before I succumb to my decrepit body and old brain and end up doing nothing but putting my feet up with a cup of strong Tetleys and afternoon scones with jam and cream... well isn't that what oldies do...rofl
I love DG to bits but he certainly has a knack of making me feel that it won't be long before I join my maker... especially when he asks..."Nanna how long will it be before you die?" Helloooooooo I ain't ready to go for a long time yet... I've got too much crafting to do...lol

On that note.... it seems a looong time since I did any Scrapbooking so decided to do a little Halloween memories book that I can continue adding to as DG gets older. He LOVES Halloween as most kids do and thoroughly enjoys the dressing up.
I haven't put it together or added the journalling because it's an ongoing project, need to dig deep for some more Halloween pics from before last year cos I know I have a few... but last year's photos seemed a good place to start . The papers, stamps, chipboard and rub on's are all from the Cosmo Cricket Haunted kit. Take a peak at some of them here. They are lubberly :)

As Dracula last year DG also had company with DD's friends dog dressed up too. I'm not sure if DG was impressed at having a companion but many of the inhabitants of the houses they visited managed to find some kind of treat for both of them :)

Another journalling page is opposite this closer photo of DG's makeup and outfit and I know he will be thrilled with the skeleton and the bat when he sees them. I added green acrylic paint to these two pages as I wanted to keep in some of the green from the journalling strip on the first photo layout.
I also did another layout page and there are some sneak peaks below of this one..........

Gothic Arch challenge-favourite movie

Audrey Hepburn has always been one of my favourite actresses so it stands to reason that she would have to be featured on my Gothic Arch for this weeks challenge which is 'Favourite movie'...I chose The Nun's Story as my theme. I can't count how many times I have seen this film, my first time as a child and it continues to be one of my all time favourites along with Breakfast at Tiffany's and My Fair Lady. I started out thinking of doing my Arch in a totally different way... but as I have a tendency to do... I ended up going in a totally different direction and ended up with an 3d image that took over the space on my arch, but as Audrey wears a Crucifix in the film I wanted to add it somewhere so I chose to add it behind my image.
I had so much fun playing with paper for this Arch... using white printer paper (yes I did say printer paper..lol) for most of my creation. Audrey's' image came from Scrapz and the bling strips from Habico. I just have to have my bling in there somewhere.

It took me quite a while to mold the paper to make my 3d image but I think it was worth it in the end :)

I don't suppose I could do it as well again and couldn't even begin to explain how I did it... but sometimes you can even surprise yourself when you start to experiment :) It's what I call... another happy accident...lol
