A New Year and a New beginning... I have created a new blog filled with old and new art. It is time for me to focus on something new. I will be leaving this blog open for inspiration and so I can look back at what I have achieved in the future but I will be adding no further content here.

Jewellery pouch

You thought I'd forgotten how to stamp didn't ya....lol  I thought it was time I shared something other than painting... don't want ya all getting bored seeing the same old, same old.  So today I'm sharing a little paper jewellery pouch I made.  It looks a bit flat (just the way I took the photo ) but there is plenty of room inside for a brooch or pair of earings:D

I punched holes along the top to make a simple threaded ribbon closure and the gorgeous paper and stamp are from Crafty Individuals.

See I can do something different...lol
See you soon

Romance card

I love to try new folds but this one was a bit annoying really ...cos I don't do measuring...lol  however once I started I had to complete it.  Won't be making another one any time soon but I think this turned out ok.  The colours of this fabulous Basicgrey paper that I found in my stash made me a tad happier though ... soooooo gorgeous!!

I distressed the chipboard frame from Crafty Individuals with distress ink and added a little heart that I created with a stamp and air dry clay.  More Crafty Individuals stamped images on the inside....

with a lickle bit of lace and a fabric flower just to finish off.

Have a great weekend all :D

Sunday Stamper challenge - Numbers

Well as Father's day is almost upon us in the UK and because I'm still in my masculine phase I decided to make a tie :D  Don't seem to see many men wearing them these days but my Dad always wears one if he's going somewhere ' important'... which could just be the pub... or shopping with Mam but he does suit his shirt and tie wherever he is going.

I'm entering my tie for Hels Sunday stamper challenge which this week is 'Numbers.   Probably didn't mean numbers in the way I've used them but hey ho... I've done numbers all the same :D

I used stamps from Crafty Individuals... did a bit of masking and also some colouring with Distress Inks.
Thanks for looking.

Laugh hanger

If only Mona would let herself go.... I bet she could have a good old belly laugh.   I feel like I wanna tell her a joke that would have tears of mirth dripping off her lashes.  She's still my favourite though even if she has to remain looking demure :D

The world laughs in flowers so maybe just maybe... surrounded by these gorgous basic grey blooms and her funky hat she will be a happy lady.

I had to grunge the edges of my papers cos I was just in the mood to attack them with an emery board...lol

I gave here a red half pearl necklace... well all of us girls like to glam up don't we....

and with a bit of paper fringing and some kitchen roll flowers my hanger is ready for that art wall I keep promising myself.  It would have been done now cos I've lots to go on it... trouble is I can't decide if I like the paint I have on the wall so it's looking like I may have to repaint if before I can put my arty bits up there.

Love to learn layout

Weeeeelll I was going to do all sorts today... had planned a bit of crafting time but didn't manage any so far and the days almost gone. Just looked out of the window a few minutes ago while I was tidying up and was thinking what a lovely day we've had today and then I glanced at my watch and couldn't believe it's after 6pm already. Cor where'd my day go!! I love light nights but when they creep up on ya like this before the clocks change it's a little bit disconcerting.
So I have to share something I did earlier... another layout of DG doing his exploring thing :D
I had a whale of a time putting this one together with all the circles and layering but I enjoyed it heaps.
I used papers and chipboard from BasicGrey Archaic... totally love these for boy stuff...

I added circles of cardboard and crumpled/distressed papers with a scattering of buttons
and chipboard stars.
I didn't want to add lots of journalling so I just hand wrote lots of words to do with learning around my embellishments.
Well I guess I had better go get me some tea now before it's supper time already :D
I'm surprised my tummy hasn't been growling at me.
