Believe easel card

Some of my all time favourite papers are Basicgrey... I love the grungy look that they give whilst remaining pretty at the same time.

I've been using alcohol inks again to cover this chipboard frame and had to indulge my ongoing passion for flowers.

I have loads of these self adhesive coloured half pearls cos they are so lush and easy to use.  It's great being able to just pop them onto what I create without worrying about glue seeping out from under them.

I am enjoying making these easel cards but as usual am guilty of overindulging when I find pleasure in making something and keep making more....lol

Do you think I'm in danger of  suffering from Easel card OCD!!
Have a great day

Mother and Daughter book

I had lots of fun making this little book... it's about 3" x3" and has lots of places to add tags, sentiments and pictures inside.  I used some double sided rose pink and cream scrap booking paper that my pal Chriss kindly shared with me.

I punched a lace border for underneath this gorgeous image from Crafty Individuals and also made a flower from punched hearts.

I wanted the book to look aged so grunged  the spine, lace border and flower edges with black stazon.
I love creating something pretty and this ticks all the boxes for me as I am soooo into 3d and paperfolding.... like you didn't know...lol
I am entering this book into two challenges:-

Sir Stampalot challenge.... which is 'Punches'
Anything goes challenge .... which is 'Pearls and lace, pink and cream'

Thanks for looking

Altered mirror

I've had this mirror from Ikea for ages and it has been begging to be altered so while at my last playtime with my buddy Chriss I began to cut out shapes and stamped  to my hearts content... ready to add them to my mirror.  It turned out much better than I expected... more for my art wall :D

I played with stamps from Crafty Individuals... I used glossy accents on the faces...

I played with  lots of distress ink and made flowers from distress coloured print paper covered in modpodge with altered german scrap for the centres.

Some pieces of my card were put through cuttlebug folders before adding my ink and the butterfly and some other areas were given the rock candy stickles treatment.

I added sticky ribbon round the outside of the frame which had half pearls attached so gave my butterflies pearl  antenae too.

Here the Mammy butterfly is looking after the baby one... ;- )

To finish off I added a large butterfly topped flower which has rock candy stickles on too.... love me shiny bits and the chain is a found bit off a little chipboard book.

Hope you enjoyed looking and that the post wasn't too picture heavy for ya.

Decorated button jar

I got some lovely shaped spice jars from Ikea some time last year with the idea of altering them to hold my supply of buttons/charms and or ribbons. Well I finally got round to doing one of them and I am going to love doing the others.
I used a gorgeous charm image from Lisas Altered Art as my focal point ...on top of some script paper doodled with gold.

I put some angel hair behind it so it would look a little bit more delicate...

and I finished off by decorating the lid of my jar with sticky ribbon, ordinary ribbon, mesh and half pearls.
Now all I have to do is find a home for it... think it's time to have some shelves put up :D Don't want to hide it away... I think it's much to pretty for that.
