ooooh looksee here....

I've gone all masculine....rofl   Well I thought it was time that I gave the girly stuff a bit of a breather and did something different from my norm.  Well that is if I have a norm!!  Do I ? answers on a postcard only...preferably a really pretty one... sent through the post...decorated with bling 'n' sparkly bits ;-)

I bought this GORGEOUS clock paper and little watch face from The Fruit Pixie a little while ago and I totally lurve it.  I changed it a wee bit with Distress Ink... just cos I couldn't help meself... but it was gorgeous without too.

I found this tiny key in a box and it just fit so perfectly with what I had in mind... lucky or what.  The sentiment stamp and the white clock piece below are Artistic Stamper bits.....

I also added drops of glossy accents in parts cos I love things to be touchy feely and textured.

Little boy booties

Anyone for more shoes.... oh oh... sorry can't help it I just can't stop making them and I've lots more to share with you but don't want to scare you off by showing them altogether so I will space them out :D

I adapted the template that I used for the baby girl shoes (from Craftstamper Magazines online freebies) cos I just had to have a boy pair... well you do don't you. 

I used more paper from Crafty Individuals for this pair ... I just love the colours and added an additional foldover piece in addition to the template pieces to act as a fastener... think velcro on kiddies shoes...lol

To make the lickle buttony thing I put some paper over a sticky pad and then punched out a circle so I could stick it on with the minimum fussing about.

Smile card

I made me a little card with a difference... well a difference for me cos I don't normally DO fruit...lol  Flowers...yes.... girlies...yes.... altered....yes....birdies....yes.... but fruit....not before now :D

Still there is a first time for everything eh.  I had these little squares left over from part of a bird stamp by Crafty Individuals and cos one of my new fave colours is orange I just coloured them in on a whim with colour from my reinker... and lo and behold they magically turned into a card.... how'd that happen....rofl

I had to turn it into an easel card...cos I am loving these too right now...but changed it a little so the bottom piece showed more when the top is propped up.

It had to have a flower on it.... layered paper circles on top of a paper and fabric bloom....

 

and though I know peaches are not supposed to be THIS orange... I can do what I like in the name of art... can't I.... can't I   lol

Laugh hanger

If only Mona would let herself go.... I bet she could have a good old belly laugh.   I feel like I wanna tell her a joke that would have tears of mirth dripping off her lashes.  She's still my favourite though even if she has to remain looking demure :D

The world laughs in flowers so maybe just maybe... surrounded by these gorgous basic grey blooms and her funky hat she will be a happy lady.

I had to grunge the edges of my papers cos I was just in the mood to attack them with an emery board...lol

I gave here a red half pearl necklace... well all of us girls like to glam up don't we....

and with a bit of paper fringing and some kitchen roll flowers my hanger is ready for that art wall I keep promising myself.  It would have been done now cos I've lots to go on it... trouble is I can't decide if I like the paint I have on the wall so it's looking like I may have to repaint if before I can put my arty bits up there.

Ladies elegant shoe

Well I was in for a treat when I found this Fabulous template and tutorial on Terri's wonderful blog!!  Terri's shoe has a lot more embellishment and is so beautiful... you really must go look :D  I kept mine a little simpler with this being my first attempt... didn't want to over complicate things for myself.

I used my favourite paper from Crafty Individuals for the front and back of my shoe....

I added a kitten heel and a ribbon bow.

I think I should have raised the front a little bit... but I'm liking it anyway and I think I am going to have a shelf full of shoes by the time I stop playing...lol

I decorated the upper sole with this cute Crafty Individuals image....

and made a cute paper flower just cos I love flowers.

Altered spoon

Take one wooden spoon... from a kiddies baking set.... paint it with a paint dabber.

 Twirl some pretty pearly sticky ribbon that you've had in your stash waiting for a light bulb moment around it...

add an image of a cutie girlie from Lisa's altered art to the curve of the spoon hollow....

job done.... lol 

Wishing the housework was that easy!!!

Sometimes I am inspired....

by something someone else has created and last week while staying with Chriss she made a dress for a challenge.  Well when I looked at it...I thought awwww it's so gorgeous and it looks like a dress for 'Tiny tears'  hands up who had one of those dollys  and a potty for her to wee in ....rofl

So because Chriss had some paper left over I couldn't resist making some tiny little shoes to go with it.  They really are tiny... I think about 2inches long....maybe a wee bit more but not much.  They were a bit fiddly but OMG I have a new addiction... SHOES.  Okay so I've always been addicted to buying shoes but never making paper ones.

Today I'm joining in with....

 The Shabby Tea Room challenge which is 'Dear to my heart'.... the distress inks have taken a hammering again...lol  Can't keep my hands off them.  Well my reinkers to be precise because I much prefer these to the ink pads.  Nuts I know... but I just find I can do so much more with them and I also love the cute bottles that they come in :D

I enjoyed making this little heart hanger and once again used a stamp from Crafty Individuals... I used it a few times so that I could change the colour of the hearts before cutting them out and adding them to different areas of  the large hand cut heart.

Sunday Stamper challenge - wings

Catching up with a few challenges now I'm home and I had to take part in Hels'  Sunday Stamper challenge which is 'Wings'.  This seems to be a really popular theme with everyone lately and I'm glad cos I just adore things with wings... butterflies.. birds... fairies...oooooer  gorgeous :D

I adore the new chipboard shapes from Crafty Individuals and I love the way you get double for your money if you cut around the outer shape once you've pushed out the chipboard pieces... you can then create more frames of different look and size... cooooool.   I am also addicted to the Crafty Individuals butterfly stamps...they are just so delicate and all sizes so there is always one to fit what I want to create.

I've used alcohol inks to decorate the frame and the paper behind is one of the ones that Patty kindly sent me when I won her fab giveaway... I don't know how she created it but it is even more gorgeous in real life.. all coppery and shiny... wonderful.

SCD challenge - Crowns

Well it's week 4 of SCD challenge's Birthday month and the DT have produced loads of fab inspiration.  This weeks challenge is 'Crowns' and I loved doing this one.  The stamp I used was a freebie from Craftstamper magazine.  I used it for the background and then stamped it in part again for the crown using distress inks to colour it in. 

I have a few re-inker bottles and I love to put some ink on a craftmat and then pick it up with my waterbrush and paint the colour in.  It gives a deeper colour this way and I can be precise.

I missed last weeks challenge...not being at home... but as I adore all thing to do with 'Paris' which was the theme... I had a little catch up.

I also discovered another little trick with the distress inks quite by accident.  That is that if you apply it to certain types of paper and card (you have to experiment cos it doesn't work with them all) and allow it to air dry and stamp over it with Stazon... you can remove colour from within the image to reveal the white base.

I use my waterbrush for this as it's more precise.  I paint the area just with water and then blot out the colour with kitchen roll.  You can then leave the area white or repaint with diluted colour.  Cool eh!!
